In a unexpected crossover event that challenges usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Uncovered

According to the formal release, "An unusual confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of prohibited practices and fearsome transformations resonate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret cult.

The adventure concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Changes

The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Bonus Features

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana in addition to numerous items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This update also adds the game's newest complimentary story episode, titled "The Mystery."
